A TORTURED HEART:
“Marching to the beat of an African drum.”
Title for a new BOOK, I’m currently writing after a visit to South Africa, a happy sad land of such vivid contrasts.
Following on from A Traitor’s Heart
“It might be hard for you to understand this being an outsider; but South Africa holds the souls of its sons a nd daughters in an almost inescapable grasp… Once you have travelled, the voyage never ends, but is played out .”

Themes (to name a few) of perseverance, sacrifices, loyalty, redemption, and most importantly, the enduring power of love
Some thoughts to develop in my new BOOK
Chapter One
Ah, but your land is so so beautiful
(with thanks to Alan Paton)
“In order to live here, must be prepared to die here.”
Final Chapter: The Other Side of the Rainbow
Now many years later as an “older man”, I still love the country with a great passion and could perhaps live here, but in my personal circumstances (rather unique) how could I ever survive (financially) here?
You don’t have to be crazy to live here, but it certainly helps!

“K pulls off that greatest of all literary feats. He leads the reader from a legitimate case for despair and cynicism at monumental human cruelty, into the genuine hope we can feel after witnessing an example of courage and truth telling against the odds.”
